Furthermore, with the use of telescopes such as the James Webb Telescope which was launched in 2021, scientists are expected to be able to see the atmospheres of planets outside the solar system more clearly, and even carry out chemical analysis to detect signs of life. With this facility, researchers can search for gases that may show biological activity, such as oxygen or methane. One of the main challenges in extra-solar planet research is their enormous distances. Although data obtained from various telescopes is very helpful, limited observation capacity is a barrier. However, international innovation and collaboration in the field of astronomy has the potential to accelerate new discoveries. The importance of the discovery of extra-solar planets lies not only in the potential existence of life, but also in enriching our knowledge of the fundamental nature of the universe. Each detected exoplanet provides valuable information about the composition, atmosphere and dynamics of the planetary system.
