The political dynamics of the post-pandemic world have undergone a significant transformation, radically changing the global landscape. One of the main changes is the rise in nationalism in various countries. With the health threat posed by COVID-19, many countries are implementing protectionist policies, focusing on domestic resilience, and prioritizing national interests over multilateral cooperation. This is clearly visible in vaccination policies, where countries are trying to meet domestic needs before meeting global demand. In the economic aspect, post-pandemic recovery has led several countries towards the rise of populism. The economic crisis caused by the pandemic has sparked public dissatisfaction with the government which is deemed incapable of managing the situation. This phenomenon strengthens populist political movements, which promise to answer the needs of ordinary people and demand transparency. This opportunity was exploited by political parties taking an opposition position, thus increasing political tensions. Additionally, the global health crisis has highlighted the importance of international cooperation in addressing health issues. Organizations like WHO receive both positive and negative attention, depending on the views of each country. Several countries have been critical of the approach taken, demanding reforms within the international organization to improve responses to future crises. From a technological perspective, the use of digitalization in the government sector is increasing. Governments must adapt quickly to change, implementing technologies such as e-government to increase efficiency, transparency and public participation. This creates a new dynamic in politics where voters are increasingly engaging online, and political campaigns are shifting to digital platforms. In the Asian region, China and the United States continue to compete for geopolitical influence. China’s rise as a global power is felt in various fields, including economics and technology. Meanwhile, the US is trying to maintain its position by building strategic alliances in the Indo-Pacific region. This competition has an impact on the foreign policies of various countries, triggering the formation of new blocs and alliances. The influence of climate change is also increasingly significant in post-pandemic politics. As the impacts of climate change become increasingly visible, many countries are starting to include this issue on their political agendas. The environmental movement is gaining momentum and forcing the government to take concrete action to overcome the environmental crisis which continues to worsen. Social dynamics in various countries have also changed after the pandemic. Issues of social justice and human rights are increasingly becoming a concern. A spirit of solidarity and community concern was formed, where the community actively voiced human rights issues that had been neglected. This sparked a movement demanding more inclusive social and political reforms. The refugee crisis facing many countries due to conflicts exacerbated by the pandemic has resulted in new political challenges. Many countries must face the dilemma between maintaining domestic stability and fulfilling international responsibilities regarding refugees. Public discourse on this issue is often very polarizing and can have an impact on domestic political stability. The phenomenon of globalization is also experiencing adjustments. Although some elements of globalization are in decline, digitalization trends show that the world is increasingly connected technically. This opens up new opportunities, but also raises new challenges, such as privacy and cybersecurity issues which are of great concern to governments around the world. As these challenges increase, the political dynamics of the post-pandemic world become increasingly complex. Countries must be able to adapt quickly and efficiently in the face of continually changing developments, both in the domestic and international political realm.
