Who to Target in the NFL Draft 2025

The NFL draft is where all the hard work and dreams for the future of NFL players come true. It’s a moment that many have worked towards for years, and it’s one they will never forget. And for fantasy owners, it’s also an opportunity to grab a rising star that could be your league-winning difference maker in 2025.

When a team selects a player, they communicate with an NFL staff member at Selection Square known as a “runner.” The runner then writes the player’s name and position on a card, then gives it to the representative of the team picking next. After that, the team’s representatives in Selection Square let everyone know who was drafted.

There’s a clear hierarchy at the quarterback position this year, with Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Jayden Daniels and Jalen Hurts all making the cut for the top four in 2025. But that doesn’t mean you should skip out on other options, as there are plenty of good ones to target.

Wide receiver is another area where you should target a few breakout stars. Look for big-play talent like Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Puka Nacua, Malik Nabers and Amon-Ra St. Brown to make a big splash in their first NFL seasons. They’re likely to be solid starters in 12-team leagues. Also, don’t ignore a few late-round RBs who have the potential to develop into league-winning fantasy contributors. Just last year, deep into the double-digit rounds, you could’ve snagged Khalil Herbert or Bucky Irving, who both turned in top-10 performances.
